Season 3
This season of Heroes commenced with dual episodes of an hour’s duration each, which were aired in the US on Monday, September 22, 2008. Before the first episode was broadcast, the red carpet premiere of the season was showcased, along with interviews of the cast and crew as well as clips from prior seasons and previews of what the viewers would see in upcoming seasons. The season begins with an attempt to kill Nathan Petrelli, and the repercussions of such an attempt.

Meanwhile, many of the villains make an attempt to break free from Level five, while the Company tries to capture them again. Arthur Petrelli is cured of a systemic nerve damage, thanks essentially to the healing capabilities of Adam Monroe. With his health in good shape, Arthur manages to win over some of the villains initially, such as Daphne Millbrook and even Tracy Strauss and Mohinder Suresh at a later stage. They come together to try and create a formula that would give people special powers. After numerous failed attempts, they realize the vital requirement of a powerful enabler. It is at this juncture that Hiro and Claire go back in time, whereby Hiro is given the vital enabler by his mother. However, such a state of existence is short lived as Arthur comes into the picture and snatches away the enabler.
The formula now holds immense clout, and individuals such as Peter Petrelli and The Haitian are fighting over control of it with Arthur. Arthur loses the battle eventually as a bullet from Peter sent through Sylar’s telekinesis ability, kills him. It is now Peter’s turn to inject himself with the formula so that he can save Nathan who happened to have been on his father’s side. Ando is now endowed with the ability to modify other’s abilities. Claire, Noah Bennet, and Angela Petrelli are engaged in a combat with Sylar at Primatech in which Meredith’s ability goes off track, and he ends up burning the building in question, and as a resultant, Sylar is assumed to be dead.
